The
Eastbrook Panthers finished third in their own invitational Saturday, April 25th.
That was the best position of the seven CIC teams that competed in the event.
Only the ultimate champion Southwood, and Lapel fared better than the Panthers.
The performance is another step in what has been a very successful start to the
season for Eastbrook. Here is a look both at the final standings for the
Eastbrook Invitational and a summary of the season to date.

The
Eastbrook golf team started the season strong posting a 161 against
Madison-Grant on 4/15/2009 at their home course. Andrew Weiland was
medalist with a 37, followed close behind by Blake McQueen with a 39.
Adam Bernaix shot a 42 and Nick Combs a 43.
On 4/17, the
Eastbrook golfers faced Eastern. It required the 5th man score
to break a 170-170 tie, giving Eastbrook the win over Eastern at Arbor
Trace. Andrew Weiland of Eastbrook and Jeff Hartley of Eastern were
co-medalists, posting a 38. Teammate Adam Bernaix had a 41 and Blake
McQueen posted a 43.
During a 3
way match against Northfield and Wabash on 4/20, Eastbrook golfers were
victorious with a 178, followed by Northfield with a 180 and Wabash a
213. Andrew Weiland was medalist with a 40. Nick Combs posted a 45,
followed by Stephen Greene with a 46 and Blake McQueen with a 47.
The Panthers
were again victorious on 4/24 against opponent Southern Wells beating them
167-200. Andrew Weiland was medalist with a 39, followed by teammates Nick
Combs and Adam Bernaix with 42s. Varsity is 5-0.
